CALIFORNIA EXPERIENCE – At LA Live & NOKIA Theatre

LA Live and the Nokia Theatre are situated in the heart of Los Angeles right next to the Los Angeles Convention Center – the entertainment capital of the world. The 40,000 square foot Nokia Plaza is the place to enjoy a classic car show, wine and a variety of international “street entertainers.”  Then, at 19:30, it’s time to roll out the red carpet for a concert starring Natalie Cole and Steve Tyrell at the spectacular Nokia Theatre. 

The multiple Grammy® Award winner and daughter of the legendary Nat ‘King’ Cole will perform.  The opening act for Natalie Cole will be Grammy® winner as well as two-time Emmy®, Academy® and Golden Globe® nominee Steve Tyrell, a world-class entertainer for four decades. 

Organize a group of fellow Rotarians and friends to enjoy a fantastic evening at the new LA Live and Nokia Theater. Food for this event is available at the House of Friendship as well as local restaurants. This event is not to be missed!

CONCERT UNDER THE STARS – World-Famous Hollywood Bowl

Enjoy a uniquely Los Angeles experience and enjoy a concert under the stars at the historic Hollywood Bowl! The Bowl, known as the world’s largest natural amphitheater, is built into the Hollywood hills where, for nearly 85 years it has featured some of the finest classical, pops, jazz, opera and ballet performances. There are picnic areas or you can eat in your seats prior to the concert, beginning at 19:30. Picnic Dinner vouchers for general seating, Sections D-X, will be available for purchase at the House of Friendship and through other local vendors. The “Concert Under the Stars” will feature music from your favorite Hollywood films played by the award-winning Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. The grand evening will conclude with a spectacular Hollywood Bowl fireworks show.

21:30 – 23:30 – Return Transportation

Transportation for this event will be provided by RI and more information will be provided on-site. Departure times from LACC to Hollywood Bowl will be assigned according to ticket seat location. A departure schedule will be published on-site. Busses will return from the Hollywood Bowl to RI room block hotels.

BOX SEATS for the Hollywood Bowl
Boxes will hold 4-6 people. Unless you purchase the entire box (6 people) you will be sitting with others who have purchased tickets in the same box.

• Box Seats in the Garden and Terrace Box Seats include gourmet dinner and can be purchased for $250 per person.
• Pool Circle Box Seats (only 148 seats available) include gourmet dinner and wine and can be purchased for $500 per person.

OFFICIAL LA2008 CONVENTION SHIRT OR BLOUSE

The Official LA2008 shirt or blouse incorporates the official convention colors and is designed just for Rotarians attending the LA2008 Rotary International Convention. Orders must be received by 29 February 2008 through the LA2008 Host Event Tickets Order Form! 
These unique shirts will not be sold at the convention.
