Guests attending the Concert Under the Stars at the Hollywood Bowl on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 have a unique opportunity to benefit The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. Those wishing to conduct the Hollywood bowl Orchestra for the playing of the American National anthem, "The Star Spangled Banner," may bid on-line for this opportunity.

The winning bidder will receive the following: 

• Attendance at one rehearsal session with the evening’s conductor
• Recognition in the evening’s program as the guest conductor
• Autographed pictures with Rotary International President Wilkinson and the evening’s conductor

Proceeds from this event will benefit the Rotary Foundation and its polio eradication effort. The winning bid is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, Tax ID# 36-3245072. We acknowledge that no goods or services will be provided in exchange for this donation. 

Because the Rotary International President is a native of Canada, the American National Anthem will be preceded by President Wilkinson conducting the Canadian National Anthem, "O Canada."
